He was born on December 31, 1950 in Corpus Christi, Texas to the late Darius Randolph Rachal and Mary Ann Buckley Rachal and was reared in Taft, Texas.
After graduating from Taft High School in 1969, Ed attended the University of Texas at Austin and Southwest Texas University in San Marcos.
Ed worked most of his adult life in retail merchandising in Los Angeles, Dallas and most recently at Bering's of San Antonio.
Ed will forever be loved and missed by his sisters Ann Miller Alan and Patricia Powell Mike and brother, Randy Rachal all of Taft.
He is also survived by nieces Stacy Decker, Monica Williamson and Amy Radford and nephews Bo Powell and Max Miller as well as three great nieces and three great nephews.
Ed also leaves behind his very dear life long friends Jean Swanson and Ann Ash.
Ed's family wishes to extend its heartfelt thanks to Loretta Evans for the loving care and support given to Ed in his final days.
Ed will remain in our hearts always. A private family interment will be held at a later date.
