

His son Richard Leo preceded him in death. He has been a resident of the San Antonio area since 1965. Ed is a member of the San Antonio area since 1965. Ed is a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church and has earned a Life Time Membership with the Knights of Columbus. He is also a member of the Windcrest American Legion Post #612. He served his country in the U.S. Navy in World War II in the Pacific. He began his career at James Conally Air Force Base in Waco, TX. He retired as an Industrial Engineer Technician, in 1986 from San Antonio Real Property Maintenance (SARPMA). After retirement, he entered the Real Estate Business as a Real Estate Broker from January 1987 to December 1998. In addition to his other roles, he has a record of community service with the Institute of Texas Culture, St. Vincent de Paul, and SAMS Shelter and Morgan’s Wonderland.
Ed is survived by his loving wife of 70 years Anna Louis Stecher (Sissy), their daughter Diane Brown and her husband Mark Brown, both of San Antonio, TX. Edwin has three grandchildren, Rema Cancino husband Rudy Cancino (USAF RET), Stanley Joseph MacDonald USAF, Retired wife Sandra Kelly MacDonald and Irene Cecelia Morris husband Mike Morris. Edwin had three great-grandchildren: Sage Cancino, Trey McGehee and Addison MacDonald and several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will held on Friday, February 12, 2021 at 11:30am at St. John Neumann Catholic Church with interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society of St. John Neumann.
