

Eileen Ann Bludeau Emley passed to be with her Lord on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at the age of 90 years. Eileen was born on June 10, 1934, to Herbert and Magdalen (Trial) Bludeau, in San Antonio, Texas. Because of the early death of her father, she attended many different schools, St. Mary Magdalen and St. Ann's in San Antonio, Poteet Elementary, St. Boniface in Hobson, Texas, St. Henry, Academy in San Antonio, through 11th grade, and then she went her Senior year to Providence High School graduating in the school’s first graduation class in 1952.
On August 9, 1952, she married Charles Emley in San Diego, California, where he was stationed in the U.S. Navy. After Charles left the Navy, they spent the rest of their lives in San Antonio.
Two children were born to Eileen and Charles, Patrice Emley Perry and Charles Emley, Jr. Eileen is survived by her two children, grandchildren, Brian Perry and Matthew Perry; great-grandchildren, Lucas Perry, and his wife, Anna Dorris Perry and Eden Perry; and one great-great grandchild, Noah Perry; her brother, Herbert Bludeau; sisters-in-law, Terry Bertone Bludeau and Eleanor Rathmann Bludeau; many nieces and nephews; a very special friend, Nancy Olivares; and special canine friends, Murphy and Layla. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her sister, Jacquelyn Bludeau Necaise; her brother, Adrian Bludeau; her daughter-in-law, Judy Beauchamp Emley; and her son-in-law, Marshall Perry.
Eileen was a very special person and loved by all who knew her. She was very devoted to her God and her Savior, Jesus Christ, and her parish church St. Anthony de Padua, where she held many officer positions in the Senior Club and where she cultivated many friendships. She always attended mass, and all special occasions held at the church. She never met a stranger. She was especially devoted to her family and loved them all dearly. She never missed special family activities with gifts for the celebrants. Her favorite holiday was Thanksgiving.
Eileen loved gardening and took great pride in her beautiful yard with masses of flowers.
She readily gave of her time caring for and assisting elderly people, her mother, an aunt and uncle and a special friend.
Eileen will be missed deeply by everyone who knew and loved her.
A rosary for Eileen will be held Thursday, March 27, 2025 at 10:00 AM, with a Funeral Mass to begin at 10:30 AM at St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church, 102 Lorenz Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 PM at St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery, FM 81, Hobson, TX 78117.
