Elaine Harby-Roberts

Mrs. Elaine Farrell Harby-Roberts, 83, of San Antonio, Texas passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2012. Mrs. Roberts was born in Houston, Texas on September 17, 1928 to the late Margaret Louise and Edward Randall Harby.

Mrs. Roberts passed away peacefully after a prolonged illness of pneumonia and kidney failure at North Central Baptist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas. Her family was by her side.

Her interest was in modeling, old fashioned movies, gardening, and taking care of a home. Most of her life was spent as a homemaker and a mother. She had a short career in a beauty salon, Grant-Reuter Coiffures in Corpus Christi, Texas where she raised her children.

Surviving are her four children: Kristine Farrell Peterson and her husband, Darrell, Jr. of Anchorage, Alaska, and their children JamieLynn and Darrell, III; Samuel Alfred Roberts, III and his wife Charlotte of Burke, Virginia, and their daughter, Amanda; Shawn Adele Roberts and her husband, Mark Brown of Chugiak, Alaska; Randall Harby Roberts and wife Doreen, of Missoula, Montana and children, Sarah, Sim, and Randall Ray.

Mrs. Roberts has one greatgrandson, Braeden, son of Sarah Roberts.

Also, surviving her are Norman E. Thompson, her partner of 40 years of San Antonio and her ex-husband Col. Sam A. Roberts, Jr. of Missoula, Montana.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 28, 2012 from 3PM to 9PM with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7PM at Sunset North Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Friday, June 29, 2012 at 1PM at Sunset North Funeral Home with Monsignor Mike Yarborough officiating. Graveside services will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
