Elaine Norma Jordan, born February 6, 1915 in Moulton, Texas and long-time resident of San Antonio, went to be with her Lord and her late husband on Tuesday, October 12, 2004. She died peacefully after her bout with cancer.
In her last days, she was surrounded and cared for by her family who loved her dearly. Elaine's strong faith and love were the foundation of her marriage and family, and she will be deeply missed. She always put her family's welfare above her own.
She was predeceased by her husband of 69 years, W.A. "Billy" Jordan, who passed away June 5, 2004. They were a devoted couple whose love was felt by everyone around them.
She was an active and founding member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and remained active until her last few days, most recently taking a weeklong cruise to Alaska with friends and family.
Her family will remember her fondly, especially the summer vacations in Rockport and the Christmas cookies that no one has been able to duplicate.
Elaine was the youngest of 8 children born to Konstant and Julia Rehmet.
She is survived by her three children: Elaine Gay Elder and husband, John of Houston, William A. Jordan, Jr. and wife, Patsy of San Antonio and Richard M. Jordan of Blanco; 13 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
