

She was born February 29, 1912 on the family ranch outside of Doss, Texas, a small German agricultural community outside of Fredericksburg, Texas. Eleanor had 10 sisters and brothers. She was raised on the ranch and attended school at a one-room schoolhouse in Harper Valley.
Eleanor grew up speaking German as her first language and was proud of her German heritage. She moved to San Antonio from Fredericksburg to work at Fort Sam Houston during WWII.
Eleanor married her husband Pryor M. Boyce, Jr. on January 15, 1949.
She was a member of St. Anthony de Pauda Catholic Church and very active in the artist community in San Antonio and was an accomplished oil painter.
Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred J. and Martha Moritz Reeh; grandson, Sean Claude Kellam; sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Francis Stehling; sister and brother-in-law, Lydia and Harry Seelig; brother, Ruben Reeh; sister and brother-in-law, Marjorie and Raymond Duecker; sister, Mildred Ransleben; and sister, Theresa Hartmann.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 58 years, Pryor M. Boyce, Jr.; her daughter, Patti Dumont and husband, Jim Dumont, granddaughter, Tiffany Dumont of Flower Mound, Texas; son, Pryor M. Boyce III and wife, Annette of San Antonio; brother, Alvin Reeh and wife, Dora of Fredericksburg, Texas; sisters, Olivia Weinheimer, Vera Becker Haufer and Kathryn Kasper, all of Fredericksburg, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Eleanor led a very long and healthy life. She will be missed dearly by her family but we know she is in peace.
The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation that the caregivers at the Forum in Lincoln Heights and to Olga and Lupe. Their kindness was greatly appreciated.
