Eleanor was a pioneer for women in the communications industry. She retired after many years of working for ITT in New York City.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Harold Wells, and her brother, Harry Hopkins, Jr.
She is survived by her sister, Marion White of San Antonio; nephew, Dr. David White and wife Andrea of San Antonio; niece, Priscilla Charlier of Eagleville, CT; nephew, Gregory Hopkins and wife Amy of Lebanon, CT; and great-nieces and nephews.
