Elfriede R Rhodes

Service will be held at Sunset Memorial Park, in San Antonio, Texas on Saturday, August 20, 2022.

The deceased will be best remembered for being our “Mom”.

Elfriede R. Rhodes was a wonderful, caring, beautiful Mother of two sons by her very special Husband Ron (Ronnie). As our mother, she was exemplary and very much loved. She truly did appreciate the simpler things in life, but her greater joy outside the family, was her love of jewelry. Having very much enjoyed selling and owning what she could of such items of beauty, brought her considerable joy and sparked her passion for the finer things in life.

The truly beautiful aspect of our mother was that she truly was always there for us as we grew together as a family. She had a beautiful calm spirit about her and will be sorely missed by my brother and I and our families as well as by her brother and sisters in Germany. Truly, we all so love you mom!

The deceased is survived by Two adult sons: Harry and his wife Edna and daughter Andrea and Errol and his wife Alma. She also has several surviving siblings in Germany – one brother, Otto and his wife Christa and two younger sisters, Anneliese and her daughter Cornelia and husband Stephan and children Anna and Marcus. Also, mom's sister Marga and her husband Herbert and son Thomas and his wife Esther and their children Simon, Ronja and Fiona, as well as the families of her sister who passed away several years ago, Erna and her surviving husband Elio and their son and daughters Tanja, Andrea and son Ralph.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 20th from 10:00 am -12:00 pm in the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with the Funeral Service to be held at 12:00 pm. The Committal Service will be held at 1:00 pm in Sunset Memorial Park.
