Hey Elizabeth Well as I'm sure you are aware, a few of us came and visited you yesterday. It was so peaceful and beautiful there. We really miss you around HEB. I hope Tim and your family are doing well. Keep shining over us!

I'm with Mom and Dad today. It seems like yesterday when I moved and said I'll be seeing you soon. And I'm assured that I will. I miss you so much Yumi. Went into SA with Mom and we both said how much more fun it would have been with you there. Thanks for showing me all the cool places to eat!! I love you and since the last part of this is over, I think I can rest a little easier. Boy, do I wish this hadn't happened! But you're so happy and busy in Heaven, I'm sure you're glad you're there. I'll never ever fill your shoes, but I'm trying really hard with Mom, Dad and the kids in the family. Tim is helping me a whole bunch. Oh Yumi....what a sad day it was!! But you're remembered always. There's still an emptiness there that will never be replaced. I'm just glad I had 37 years to enjoy you.

Elizabeth Time has really gone by, we all still have yours and Tim's picture on our desk at work and during bosses' day last year we bought a wreath in honor of you. I continue to have your beautiful yellow wreath hanging outside of my cubicle. So much has changed at work as I'm sure you're well aware. I was talking to my stepdaughter about you a while back around Easter because I remembered your big toe being painted with an Easter egg on it. I was telling her how much you loved to paint your toes and have them done for every occasion. Miss you....

Truely sorry for the loss. I just found out. I worked with Elizabeth a few years back when I lived in SA. She was always great to be around and always one of the people I liked being around at the office. There were few people who I could count on having a great attitude and making us all smile, but Liz was one of them. She was a great gal.

I was so sad to learn of Elizabeth's passing. I worked with her in the Benefits Department at SBC. She managed the communications for our retirees and was always so kind, helpful and sensitive to the needs of our older retirees. I know Elizabeth as a fellow Christian and am confident the Lord has prepared a special place for her. Her time with us in this life was far too short. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Eliz, Tim, and family, It was my Aunt Annette from San Antonio that telephoned us late July 22,2003 with the news of your loss. We had just gotten home from a Chuck E Cheeses birthday party for Cosette, our Yumi that is now 7 years old. It seams my Uncle Dave was reading the Express News when he recognized your smile. It triggered a memory of days past when you so gratiously wore hot fuschia as a Bridesmaid in 1992. And, how you and Tim kindly recognized Annette and Dave at HEB and engaged in a conversation, years after being in our wedding. I distinctly remember the day at UTSA when Eliz saw Tim and decided she wanted to be with him for the rest of her life. Eliz you made a positive impression in this world. Thank you Eliz's parents for raising such a lovely daughter. Many tears have been shed over our own mortality and how little time we really have with one another. I know it's the circle of life but it really leaves a whole in your heart.

Last night Jon and I went to Liz' memorial service. We had to stand in the foyer with about 60 other people. What a tribute to the many lives Liz touched. The effect she had. Her legacy. And yours. You are not alone. We are lifting you up in our prayers. You are never far from our thoughts. I was so proud of Julia because I know she is not comfortable speaking in public, but she felt compelled to speak so people could know more about Liz, her ministries, her beauty. I knew Elizabeth briefly through work at SBC and she was always a nice person to bump into, happy, friendly, and I know whe loved her P.T. Crusier. Time will make this a little easier but she will never leave our hearts. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time.

I met Elizabeth in the Success program. She was one of the TEAM; she was the E along with Terri, Angie and Mary. The four of them worked together and were genuinely good friends. I had the good fortune to be included as the 5th member. Elizabeth was always going out of her way to help her students. More than once when I went to the center during the week, Elizabeth was there helping out. I never saw her sad, she was always happy. She would kid me about calling you Tim Dave, why I did it I don't know, but we got a good laugh out of it. I remember when she got her PT cruiser. She was so happy!!! That was the kind of person she was... she found something to be happy about in all things. The last time I saw her was at her going away party from SBC. Just like her picture, I will always have that image of her with her happy smile. Tim I'm sorry for your loss, she was truly a one of a kind woman,a wonderful human being, and a friend. We will all miss her immensely.

I met Elizabeth at a volunteer program called SUCCESS. The first thing I noticed about her was her beautiful smile and a special type of kindness carried by her presence. I first met Elizabeth at a luncheon for the Professional Women of Southwestern Bell. I was new to the Company, and she was very friendly and made me feel comfortable. Soon after she transferred to the Benefits Department where we worked together. She was funny and always had a smile on her face. I'll miss her and pray God's loving hands will surround her husband and family in the days to come.

I keep a quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson taped to my PC that was given to me by my sister after participating in a mentoring program where I first met Elizabeth. The quote is entitled SUCCESS, which is the same name of the mentoring program Elizabeth & I participated in. The quote is as follows:

Elizabeth was SO much fun and SO very smart. She and I both worked in Benefits Design at SBC, and our cubes were across the aisle from each other so we talked all the time! I'll always remember the fun we had decorating our cubes for each holiday. She had such a blast decorating! When we both left Design, the hardest thing was knowing that I wouldn't be able to talk to Elizabeth everyday. I'll miss her.

Elizabeth you will be missed by all of us, I am personally grateful that I was allowed to spend time with you on your last night of this earth. I have spoken with many of your friends over the last couple of days and I am thankful your last night was spent with good friends, that knew you and loved you. I know God will be by your families side through this most difficult time, for that I take comfort in knowing. I also take comfort that someone with a great heart and soul is watching over us.

Elizabeth was my first friend when we both came to work at SBC. We enjoyed our brown bag lunches on the patio near the riverwalk; cruising thru Solo Serv to pick up bargains; and hopping the trolley to go to the mall. We shared our first Christimas Eve in the office when neither of us had vacation time. She was wonderful company to be with and her passing makes me sad. However, I know that she is in heaven and God must have called her back for a reason. Mainly, to keep us aware of how life precious is. Elizabeth was a wonderful "true" friend who always found the positive in every situation. She was my rock during some really hard times in the workplace. She will be missed very much. My prayers are with her survivors that loved her so dearly.

Yumi....my older sister I fought with, loved on, played with, pestered, and learned from. My mother gave all of us girls Japanese middle names - mine was Michiko, my little sister Miechan. They meant three branches of a tree. Yumi mean first branch. 
Our family tree has been cut back a little, but will be pruned with care and love. That branch, Yumichan, will never grow back, but someday buds and new growth full of memories will appear. 
My only thought? I wonder what she's doing in heaven and experiencing there, as always the first to with us three girls, and can't wait to find out!

All of my thoughts are with you during this time. Having been through this type of loss, I can only tell you to remember and charish your time together and not to dweal on what might have been. What a blessing to have known Elizabeth. I had the pleasure of spending the whole day with her just last weekend as we visited an orphanage in Mexico. Elizabeth truly let the Lord shine through her in every part of her life. Even though our hearts ache, heaven is welcoming a true servant of Christ.

Don, Sue, Louis, Naomi and Meiji... It is with great sorrow that I learned of Yumi's death. Please accept my sympathy in your time of pain, and know that I am praying for our Lord to help you through the difficulty. While I did not attend the recent class of '83 reunion, please know that one of the few people that I truly wanted to see and catch up with; was Elizabeth. She always was such a special, warm, brilliant, and loving person. I have thought of her often over the last 20 years, and will always cherish the time we spent together in our younger years. Always remember that God saddles us with no burden that we cannot endure. There is a reason that Elizabeth was taken from us now, at this time. We likely will not know the reason until we reach our next life with God. But God HAS a reason, rest assured of that. Dear Tim and Family On behalf of my family and I, we would like to express our deepest sympathy to you. Elizabeth was a wonderful, caring individual who strived to bring the best out in her employee's. I will truely miss hearing about the "good deals" she saw going through the Sunday paper. I'll never forget when she bought 14 containers of laundry soap in different scents because it was a good deal. The mornings will never be the same at the Partner Service Center. I will miss her enthusiasm, her smile and overall her friendship. 
When she left SBC she gave me her trusty desk fan with a note on her business card stating 
"To cool you off whenever you're hot under the collar or your blood pressure rises". I will truly miss her but I know I was blessed to have her as a friend. My condolences to Tim and all her family and friends, my prayers are with you.

Liz was like the sister I never had. 
Keith and I both loved her laugh and smile and the world is going to be a sadder place without her here. She always saw the positive side of any situation, but was not one to judge or blame if you didn't share the same opinon. We will miss Liz greatly. I know she is up in heaven smiling down on us right now and we should feel lucky that she is an angel looking out for each of us.

For the very short time she was with us she brought smiles and joy. She will be so missed. My prayers are with you.

I have only known Elizabeth since last October of 2002 when she came to work at the Partner Service Center for HEB, but it didn't take me very long to know that she was the type of person I wanted in my life as my friend and that she was. She wore her love for God openly and proudly and because of that I felt that we were kindred souls. We had many spiritual talks and I felt stronger in my faith by knowing how strong she was in her's. I will miss her smile and her beautiful heart. The world has lost one of it's beautiful angels and heaven just got a little more crowded. Love to Elizabeth always.
