Liz moved to Texas in 1991 with her family and spent the rest of her life living in several cities across the state including El Paso, Abilene, and San Antonio. Liz graduated from the University of Texas at El Paso with a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy in 1998 and earned her Occupational Therapist Registered (OTR) certification in 1999. This accomplishment was something she was incredibly proud of. In 2004 she earned a Master of Arts degree in Counseling from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Liz worked as an OTR for over 18 years and worked with a variety of patients including those utilizing equine therapy, pediatrics, and her favorite patients: geriatrics. She also spent several years teaching special education in local San Antonio schools and Occupational Therapy classes at Saint Phillips College. Once you met Liz, you had a friend for life. Her bubbly personality and radiant smile made her a person that you wanted to know. She was a wonderful Mother, Partner, Sister, and Aunt who was always there when we needed her. She had many, many friends and was a well-loved and respected Occupational Therapist.
We invite anyone who knew her to attend the memorial service and share memories/stories of her wonderful life. We also encourage attendees to wear bright colors as that is what Liz would have wanted. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity at will.
