

Eloy Ramirez, Jr., 62, passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas. Eloy was married for 35 years to his wife Ester. He had three children Salina, Michael, & Eloy Ramirez III. He was born on February 18, 1961, in San Antonio, Texas to Eloy Ramirez, Sr. and Mary Helen. He attended Holmes High School before joining the Army at the age of 18. During his time in the military he was stationed at Ft. Huachuca, Arizona for 3 years where he served as a Medical Specialist and was honored with the Army Service Ribbon, Marksman Badge, M16 Rifle, Expert Badge, and Hand Grenade. Eloy, like his father, loved working on cars which led him to a long career in the auto industry. He worked for Western Auto for about 10 years and another 30 with AutoZone. While at AutoZone he was a Sales Associate with a Parts Expert Certification. Everyone knew to come to Eloy Ramirez for his advice and expertise. When he wasn’t with family or at work, he enjoyed hunting, nature hikes, & was an avid collector of antiques and car signs. However, anyone who knew Eloy knew his biggest passion was his Hot Rod collection. His two favorites were his 1931 Ford Model A and his 1954 Chevy Pickup Truck that he built alongside his father, Eloy Ramirez Sr.
He was preceded in death by his father, Eloy Ramirez Sr. Eloy is survived by his wife, Ester Ramirez, daughter, Salina Ramirez, and sons, Michael Ramirez (Jessica) and Eloy Ramirez III (Barbara), mother, Mary Helen Ramirez, sister, Hilda Sepulveda (Roland), brother, Christobal Ramirez, sister, Michelle Maxwell (Tony), grandchildren, Royce Ramirez, Rylee Ramirez, Arabella, nephews, Christopher Jr., Roland and Roman Sepulveda, nieces, Mercedes and Monet Martinez, sister-in-laws, Cres Garza, Petra Guzman (Oscar), Carmen Alvarado (Luis), Irene Medellin, Emma Medellin, Inez Herrera, Delia Rodriguez (Joe), Rosa Solis (Ruben), brother-in-law, Severo Medellin (Delmira), and many cousins, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Loy, Dad, Son, Brother, Brother-in-Law, Uncle, Cousin, Friend, Coworker; “We LOVE you and we will MISS you.” May you Rest in Peace.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm January 24, 2024, at Porter Loring Mortuary.
