

Born at home in Nolan County on August 9, 1938, Elsie grew up in West Texas. She attended Brackettville High School before settling in San Antonio, Texas, where she met her husband. Elsie loved her job as a keypunch operator for IBM. Later in life, after raising her two children, she excelled at business courses taken at San Antonio College and worked as a nanny for three children.
Elsie loved her family, pets, water aerobics, the Judson Rockets, and the San Antonio Spurs. For a time, she could recite the stats for all of the Spurs players. She was a devoted mother who never missed a recital, swim meet, dance performance, or band concert.
She is survived by her children, Rhonda Brinkoeter (Tyler LeBlanc) and Laurie David (Jordan), and her grandchildren, Tula David and Luca David. She was predeceased by her husband, Ronald Brinkoeter; her parents, Harry and Bethel Palmer; her brother, Elijah Palmer; and her sister, Doris Overbay.
A memorial service will be held at Sunset Memorial Park, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, Texas 78218, on February 28th. A viewing will be held from 9 – 10:30 am, and a graveside service will begin at 11 am.
Her memory will live on through the love she shared with all who knew her.
