

On Thursday, September 19, 2019, Elsie Dungca Toquero departed us for heaven to be with her loving husband, Torquiano (Tony) Toquero. She was born on the beautiful island of Guam on September 28, 1936 to Soledad San Nicolas Herrero and Francisco Cruz Dungca of Tamuning. She is survived by her son Reynaldo Toquero who lives on Okinawa, Japan, her daughter Catherine Grech and son in law Michael Grech, her daughter Marie Tang and son in law David Tang all from the Fairfield area, and her loving godson Tommy Holstein of San Antonio, Texas. Elsie leaves behind five grandchildren, Daniel, Shaun and Michelle Grech, Justin and Jeremy Tang and four great grandchildren all residing in the Northern California bay area. Elsie was a homemaker and mother extraordinaire, devoted to her family as they moved to different parts of the world every two to three year during her husband’s twenty eight year of service in the US Army. She has always been known for her gracious hospitality, warm and loving home and her fantastic homemade meals for family and friends to enjoy.A Visitation will be held at Nicoletti, Culjis & Herberger Funeral Home, 5401 Folsom Blvd., Sacramento, CA on October 4, 2019 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm with the recitation of the Rosary at 2:00. A Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2019, also at Nicoletti’s. Elsie will take her last plane journey to San Antonio, Texas on Sunday to be laid adjacent to her loving husband Tony on Monday, October 7, 2019 at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery at 1 pm in San Antonio,TX.
