Elvira Tanguma Belmarez

Elvira Tanguma Belmarez a woman proud of her maiden name was born December 23, 1933 in Lott, Texas passed away to be with our Lord on June1, 2018 at the age of 84. She was preceded in death by her parents, Baldomero and Andrea Tanguma; son, Juan Andres Belmarez and grandson, Luis Antonio Lopez. She is survived by her loving children, Mary Jane Salinas, Santos Jr. Belmarez, Antonio Belmarez, Carmen Lopez, Mary Francis Villarreal, Irma Riojas, Martin Belmarez, Diana Monsivias and Norma Jean Negrete. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Elvira loved to sew and tend to her plants. She had an incredible green thumb; she was able to transform a speck of grass from one house to create a beautiful lawn where there was none. She enjoyed going to the beach and shopping at the local thrift stores with family. Elvira will be dearly missed.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd. San Antonio, Texas 78237 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7:00p.m. On Thursday, June 7, 2018 a mass will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m with interment to follow at San Fernando II Cemetery.
