Enrique G. Urenda Jr.

April 1, 1947-March 20, 2022

Enrique (Henry), was called to his forever home on March 20, 2022, at the age of 74. Enrique

was predeceased by his son EJ Urenda, his brother, David.

He is survived by his loving wife, of 28 years, Nancy Nira Urenda; his loving

children, Rachel (Victor), Timothy (Hollie), Valerie (Emiro), Victor (Tina), Jacqueline(John Paul);

9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; brother, Richard (Cathy); sisters, Gloria (Joe),

Cecilia (Jorge), Mary (Ernest); sister in laws, Alice, Margie(Ben), numerous nieces and nephews.

He was a graduate of Fox Tech High School and joined the Air Force a day after his graduation.

After serving his country as Military Police and Viet Nam in the US Air Force he was a member of the American Legion, VFW and worked at Fort Sam Houston and Lackland Air Force Base for 27 years. Although he received commendation for going above and beyond he was a humble man.

He loved spending time with family, having a barbeque, listening to his music, having a beer, smoking a good cigar once a year and having fun. He loved watching his old cowboy movies, watching his favorite teams such as the Dallas Cowboys, Spurs and the Boston Red Sox.

He will be greatly missed by his children and grandchildren and will always be remembered as a loving and supportive husband, a great Dad and a wonderful and loving Grampy.

The Family will receive friends for visitation on Monday, April 4, 2022, from 5:00-9:00, including a rosary at 7:00 pm at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples, 78237.

Funeral procession will depart at 9:30 for a Mass at 10:00 am at Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1214 Stonewall, 78211

Interment at San Fernando II, 746 Castroville Rd, 78237
