

“Jesus never failed me.” - some of the last words of Erma Tudyk Galindo (88) who entered a well-deserved eternal peace on Sunday, June 4, 2023. During her life, Erma epitomized a sacrificial - selfless love as a mother and wife. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Maria del Rosario Gutierrez and John Louis Tudyk, and all but one of her eight siblings whom she loved deeply.
Erma is survived by her husband of 69 years, Roberto Galindo, and her brother, Oscar Tudyk. She will live on in their memories and in the hearts and minds of her loving and devoted children Lorraine, Roberto Jr., Jason, and stepdaughter Patricia, along with their spouses Brett, Kari, Tonya, and George. Erma will be loved for generations through her numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Erma was born in San Antonio, attended St Mary’s Catholic school, and remained a devout Catholic throughout her life. She and Roberto eloped in 1954 and recently celebrated their 69th anniversary this past April. During her life she excelled as a five-star wife and homemaker in every respect. She had a special affection for flowers and birds, good food, family and friends, good music… and wine! But Erma especially loved children
Please join us in mourning her passing and celebrating her life. A visitation will be held on Sunday, June 25th from 5:00-8:00pm at Sunset North Funeral Home, 910 N Loop 1604 E., San Antonio,TX 78232, the rosary service will begin at 6:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, June 26th at 10:00am at St Matthew’s Catholic Church, with Fr Eric presiding, internment to directly follow at Ft Sam Houston National Cemetery, Shelter #3 at 11:30am.
