He is preceded in death by his parents Bonifacio Rodriguez, Jr, and Rosabell G. Rodriguez. He is
survived by his sister Rose Marie Laskowski (Frank), and his two daughters Jessica M. Aguirre (Benito) and Elizabeth Y. Rodriguez.
Ernest enjoyed being with his family and creating lasting memories especially during the holidays. He was most proud of his granddaughters Kimberlee C. Castaneda, Stephanie S. Castaneda, Chloe D. Castaneda, and his great granddaughters Mia and EllaGray.
Ernest enjoyed spending time with his friends playing poker and throwing back some whiskey! He also enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys, bowling in a league where he bowled the perfect game “300” twice, and his favorite pastime was fishing.
Visitation will begin Tuesday, 23 September 2025 at 6:00 P.M., and a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 P.M. at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway. A Funeral Procession will depart 8:30 A.M., Wednesday, 24 September 2025, for burial at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
