He worked for Kelly AFB for 30 years as Electronic Auto Pilot Technician and was a veteran of WWII.
He will always be remembered for his continuous concern and caring for his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ambrosio and Inez Cortez, brother, Juan Cortez and sisters, Mary Rodriguez and Angie Manuel.
Ernesto is survived by wife, Ruth Cortez; children, Gilbert J. Cortez, Diana Crisantez, and husband, Raul , Edward Cortez and wife, Ivette and Susan Lujan and husband, Pete; 9 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; sister, Carmen Paez; and brother, Henry Cortez, as well as many nieces and nephews, all of San Antonio, TX.
