Etherine Pape

Our loving mother, grandma and grammy, Etherine Schick Pape, passed away on September 20, 2011 at the age of 91. She was born on Oct. 18, 1919 to Edmund and Cecilia Schick. She loved her family very much and loved for everyone to be at her house for family gatherings. She loved to polka dance, bowl and in her youth she loved to play sports. She also enjoyed watching her favorite teams the Cowboys, Spurs, and the Astros, and was also an avid reader. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 53 years Arno Pape; grandson, Kurtis Aaron Hughey; sister, Marcella Stapper and baby brother. She is survived by daughters, Renae Summerour and husband Clay, Janice Guilliams and Chuck Householder and Gloria Grahmann; grandchildren, Rhonda Haufler (Duane), Douglas Summerour (Patrice), Gina Ladd (Donald), Stefanie Bihm (Brock), Nadine Vogt (Ron), Zeb Hughey (Cassie); 7 great-grandchildren, and sister-in-law Erna Kosub and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2011 from 12:00 to 2:00pm, at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, TX 78218, with funeral services beginning at 2:00pm. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
