She was an avid reader, loved her garden, and was a mother to many pet Chihuahuas. She was a white tie member of the Horace Mann Middle School and a lasso at Thomas Jefferson. She loved to cook and to watch the Spurs play whenever they played. As the matriarch of the family, that was the most important thing to her in life. She was a lifelong member of Agudas Achim. Her Jewish name was Cyril Hya, daughter of Ytzra Akiva. She always kept the spirit of her late son with her by working and donating to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. She always put the good and happiness of others first and brought joy to her life by bringing joy to those close to her. She always made sure to bring desserts to her neighbors and doctors during the holidays.
She will be remembered by many nephews and nieces that she loved dearly. She greatly appreciated and thanked the hospice and caregivers for taking care of her in her final years, but most importantly to Christi, her daughter she never gave birth to, who spent countless hours being by her side every day.
Evelyn passed away triggered by a massive stroke 7 days prior to her passing on 9-11-25 4:30 PM with her loved ones by her side. It was a peaceful passing.
