She was preceded in death by parents Verna and Charlie Cansler, brother, James Cansler and grandson, Brian Terry.
She is survived by husband of 68 years, John R. Patterson of San Antonio, Tx, son, Robert L. Patterson of Houston TX., daughter, Claren P. Terry of San Antonio, TX, grandson, John W. Terry and wife Lori Reed Terry of San Antonio, TX., great grandchildren Conner Terry and Mason Terry and Caden Terry, sister in-laws Dorothy Cansler of Chapel Hill, NC., Billie Ragsdale of Cisco, TX, and Mary Watkins of Douglasville, GA., along with several nieces and nephews.
She worked many years as a nurse, specializing in ophthalmology. She became a very accomplished porcelain artist, and was a member of the San Antonio Porcelain Arts club for many years. She and her husband loved to travel.
A Memorial Service will be held November 15, 2013, at Sunset Memorial Park in San Antonio, TX. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions be made to the Rotary Foundation, or the American Cancer Society.
