Federico P. Martinez Jr., born June 18, 1949, in San Antonio, Texas, entered into eternal rest on September 27, 2025, at the age of 76. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose warmth, humor, and dedication touched countless lives.
Born to Federico Martinez Sr. and Victoria Paz, Federico grew up in the heart of San Antonio and attended Fox Tech High School. He was a proud family man who found his greatest joy in spending time with his wife and children, creating memories filled with laughter, love, and adventure.
Federico worked tirelessly to provide for his family. He dedicated 46 years of service to the Georgian Condominiums, followed by 8 years at CAM Ministries, where he brought the same passion and care to his work in maintenance. His hands were never idle — a true jack of all trades, he was always ready to fix, build, or help however he could.
A man of many interests and great spirit, Federico had a deep love for music, often serenading loved ones with his guitar. He enjoyed gambling, cruises, and road trips, and never missed a chance to dance or play a round of bingo. A devoted fan of the Texas Longhorns and Dallas Cowboys, he cheered on his teams with pride and enthusiasm. He also found daily joy in playing the lottery and dreaming big.
Federico was also a dedicated coach, spending years mentoring both little league and adult baseball teams. His leadership, sportsmanship, and encouragement left a lasting impact on generations of players.
Federico lived life fully — with laughter, love, and a deep appreciation for the small things. His legacy is one of devotion, generosity, and an unshakable spirit. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
Federico is now reunited in Heaven with his parents, Federico Martinez Sr. and Victoria Martinez; his sister, Clemencia Valdez; and his brother, Jesse Martinez.
Federico's memory will forever live in the hearts of his beloved wife of 57 years, Florencia A. Martinez; His children: Federico Martinez III (Diana), Adam Martinez, Michelle Carranza (Javier), and Anna Jones (Waddell); His grandchildren: Adam R. Martinez Jr., Savanna H.
