

Beloved husband, brother and friend, Felix Diaz, Jr. age 68, passed away on Monday, May 30, 2016 peacefully and surrounded by his family and beloved friends. Felix was a proud US Navy veteran during the Vietnam War and served on the USS John F. Kennedy CVA 67.
He was a creative, freelance photographer; was active with the ACTS community and in his church community at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, San Fernando Cathedral and Mission Conception. Felix was also a Guadalupano and was also a Floor Manager for La Santa Misa at San Fernando Cathedral many years ago. He loved music and singing in the Church choir.
All of his nephews and nieces were fascinated by his vast knowledge in all diverse and common issues. He took great pleasure in reading anything he found interesting. For a period of time, he was employed at the Hispanic Telecommunications Network that produced "Nuestra Familia".
Felix is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Felix and Enedelia Hernandez Diaz. He was blessed to have had an endearing marriage to his wife of eight years, JoAnn Montez Diaz and his cat, Little Kitty; also leaves behind to cherish his memory, his brother David M. Diaz and wife, Debbie and his sister, Diane M. Diaz, along with many wonderful nieces, nephews, great -nieces and great-nephews and numerous friends and neighbors.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 7th from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Porter Loring on McCullough with recitation of the Rosary in the chapel at 7:00 PM.
On Wednesday, June 8th, a procession will depart Porter Loring chapel at 8:50 AM for a Mass of the Resurrection at 9:30 AM at Mission Conception Catholic Church, 807 Mission Road followed by interment in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with US Navy Military Honors.
Felix was a good natured soul who placed his faith and family first in his life; we will hold his memory dear in our hearts.
