I met Felix as a freshman at Trinity U in 1974. I worked for him on and off after that for at least 10 years. In college, my dad used to send me a check each week for $25 spending money. Each week, as I would go thru my allowance in just a day or so, it was Felix who would front me another $25, and then I would give him my dad's checks as they came in or work it off at Bombay! He was a remarkable and honorable man whom I will never forget and will always be grateful to him. He had the work ethic and drive that I no longer see in this generation. Felix set the bar to reach for honesty, hard work and efforts. I know Felix is one of the reasons I have a successful business today. Watching him over the years, proved to me that if you dont slack and you stay the course-you will make it. He was a FINE man.

Our heartfelt condolences to Felix's family. Felix made such a significant difference in our lives. We had great respect and admiration for Felix and what he accomplished. He made such a meaningful difference in so many lives.

My deepest heartfelt condolences to the Moody family and the rest of the family. Felix was a good man. I have many wonderful memories of him from my childhood. He is home now, with the love of his life, Jo. And I'm sure he and my dad, Jack McNair, are cracking jokes & crunching numbers.

Felix was one of San Antonio's greatest businessmen and made an indellable mark on this and other Texas cities that will be a part of our business world forever. It is a shame wonderful men such as Felix must leave us, but men like Felix always leave a legacy for all to follow in the future. May he rest in peace and guide us from his place in Heaven.

Although deeply saddened by Felix's passing, I find comfort in knowing he has joined his beloved wife, Jo. United again forever. They were always, Felix and Jo when referred to. He was an honest, hardworking, good-hearted "people-person". With cigarette behind ear and busyworking hands, he always took time to know and greet his customers. I worked for Felix and Jo for 10 yrs. He asked me to "fill in" for my sister one busy night. That "fill in" lasted 10- yrs, from the Midnight Sun to the famous Poco Loco Club on the river downtown with several in between. It became the "place to go" for even the famous visiting SA. with The Poco Loco Band, flaminco dancing, El Curo and Teresita, and the mexican food that Connie made, I remember the night Felix pointed out the old Dairy Queen across from the Crystal Pistol. He said he was going to put a Mexican food place there. And THAT he did. Taco Cabana! Adios Felix!

It is sad to say goodbye today. Having known Felix for most of my life, I have only good memories of him. The world would be a better place if more people were like him.

Please accept our heartfelt condolences. Ruth and Phil's long-time friendship with Felix and his wife, Jo, was wonderful. My experiences visiting with Felix over the last couple of years showed to me what a kind, gentle soul he was with a great sense of humor. Their friendship and generosity meant a great deal to my mother. Our prayers are with the family.

Heartfelt condolences to the Stehling, Moody, and other extended families. I have worked at Taco Cabana for 17+ years and owe this career to Felix and his brother who started it all. They are legends aound here.

I will never forget what Felix did for my dad and I .. Those days he come by the office have cold one out the beer machine. Got to fish with him once. He taught us all something for that I will always be grateful . God bless you. Rest in peace

I did not cross the path of Felix very often but always considered him a good friend from earlier encounters at the Crosswinds by the airport, the Crystal Pistol, having a beanburger at the Triple S on the Austin Hwy or at his first Taco Cabana....he was a good man and friend to many folks and will be missed
