Floyd F. Rev. Lewis, Jr

He received his B.A. in Physics at St. Mary's University, his M.S. in Engineering from Trinity University, M.B.A. in Management from University of Utah, B.A. in Biblical Studies from San Diego Bible College and his MABS in Biblical Studies from Dallas Theological Seminary. Floyd served in the U.S. Maritime Service and Merchant Marine. He was a Radio Officer and served during the WWII and Korean Conflict.

He worked as a civilian engineer at Lackland AFB and retired from Randolph AFB after 26 years. Floyd held earlier positions in the academic industry as well serving as Senior Engineer at Southwest Research Institute, Technical Director at Durham's Electronic College, President and GM of Lome Electronics, Vice President and GM of Sheppard Instrument Company and Arizona Telemetering Corporation in Phoenix, Arizona and Dean of Texas Institute of Technology Dallas.

In his recent years, served as Associate Pastor of Live Oak First Baptist Church, and later became Senior Pastor at Christ Fellowship Church in San Antonio.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Louise Elkins and Jean Bauldree; brother, Francis Carter Lewis; brother-in-law, Wayne Morrison.

Floyd is survived by his loving wife, Mary Lynn Lewis; son, Philip Lewis; daughter-in-law, Tina Lewis; son, Robert Lewis Hester and wife, Debbie; granddaughter, Traci Boudreau and husband, Gary; grandsons, Jimmy Lewis, Michael Lewis, Cameron Lewis, Jeffrey Lewis, Michael Hester, Matthew Hester; great grandchildren, Alison Boudreau, Justin Lewis, Julie Lewis; brother-in-law, Harvey Elkins; brother, Charles Lewis and wife, Betty; sister, June Morrison; and brother–in-law, Milton Bauldree.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 18, 2015 at Porter Loring North Chapel.

Interment will follow in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
