Frances L. Barstow

Frances L. Barstow, age 89, passed while surrounded by her family on July 17, 2016 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on April 8, 1921 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Swan and Anna Olson. Frances was married for 65 years to her loving husband Clemence Barstow who predeceased her in 2011. Her energy and zest for life were inspiring. In addition to her love of bowling, Frances enjoyed many interests, hobbies and activities that she shared with friends and family. She was blessed throughout her life with an amazing number of wonderful friends.

Survivors include her children, Bonnie Mae Barstow, Clemence Barstow Jr., Leona Ann Barstow, and Sandra Lee Simon; grandchildren, Michael Ryan Cushman, Brett Cushman, Ginger Simon and William Simon; great-grandchildren, Lauren, Ella and Stratton; and her older sister, June Olson. Visitation will take place from 6:00-8:00 pm, Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 9:30 am, Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
