Frances Helen Meme Hurst, age 90, our precious angel, as returned to our Heavenly Father, she died on Friday, March 1, 2002 in her home with her granddaughter by her side. Our Meme was the heart of our family and will be remembered for her love, warmth, grace, and beauty. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles McLendon "Mack" Hurst, Sr.; son, Charles McLendon Hurst, Jr. and her daughter, Nancy Kay Hurst Mattison. Frances Helen is survived by her grandchildren, Reba Kay Cooper and husband William, whose home she shared. William McLendon Mattison and wife Grace of League City,TX; Charles McLendon Hurst, III of Houston, TX; Joel Montgomery Hurst, of Lake Jackson, TX; great-grandchildren, Cameron, Jordan and Victoria Mattison of League City, TX and Callan Hurst, of Lake Jackson, TX.. Her family expresses deepest gratitude to Vista Care Hospice for their dedication and care and especially to our beloved friends Cheryl Morones and Olga Dominguez for their love and devotion to Meme for the past year. We love you, Meme, and you will always by our sunshine.
