Frances Carolyn Hester Richmond, age 88 of San Antonio passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2008. She was born November 3, 1919 to Lee Malcolm Hester originally of San Angelo and Janetta Gulledge Hester originally of Mc Gregor. Frances served in various leadership roles at St. David's Episcopal Church. She was active at Cathedral House, served on the Board of the Good Samaritans, and was a member of the Daughters Of The King. She was a graduate of the University of Hawaii and was awarded a Master's Degree from Trinity University. Frances was a 2nd grade teacher at Fort Sam Houston Elementary School for several generations. She was also a visiting professor at St. Mary's University. She is survived by her daughter, Missie Richmond McCarthy of San Antonio; son, Jeff Richmond of Seattle, WA.; grandchildren, Edwin Sarratt and wife, Kirsten of Scottsdale, AZ., Jessica Richmond of Austin, TX, and Rory Richmond of Seattle, WA.; great grandchildren, Jazmyn Mitchell, William, Ashley and Ella Sarratt.
