Frances Swain was born on February 7, 1922 in Terral, Oklahoma as a only child of Wilton and Ethel Briscoe. Frances grew up in Kentucky and North Carolina. She attended Western Kentucky University and received her Bachelors degree in Elementary Education. Then she furthered her education by receiving her Masters Degree at the University of Missouri. Frances was a teacher for many years, but spent her last 14 years at Fort Sam Houston Elementary School. She was an active member of St. Andrew’s Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Northside Retired Teachers Association, University Women, Kappa, Kappa Iota, and a faithful member of the bridge group at Los Patios Inn.
Frances loved her children Sarah Belt and Suzy Pety. Son-in Laws Barry Belt and Jim Pety. Grandchildren Jon, Sam, Luke, Michelle, Joseph, and Samantha. Great grandchild Baylee. Frances was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many.
We will have a celebration of her life on Monday, Dec. 15, 2014 2:30pm at The Inn of Los Patios.
