Frank Anthony “Tony” Davis, age 67, passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2022 in San Antonio, Texas with his family by his side. He was born August 26, 1955 to Earl Frank Davis and Lilla Eugenia Cox Davis in LaGrange, Georgia, near where his father was stationed.
Since he was a child, Tony's passion was playing Baseball. At the age of 7, he picked up a ball and played throughout his life until he retired at the age of 66. He was a remarkable left-handed pitcher that could strike anyone out. Over time, in his late teens/early twenties, he joined the Army. He travelled to many countries and stationed at a few, where he made many friends and served our country proudly. After getting out, he attended Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas where he got his Degree in Speech, with a minor in History; then a Degree in Medical Technology, with a minor in Biology.
As time went on, he met the love of his life, Juliet, while working as a Lab Technologist in Park Place Hospital in Port Arthur, Texas. She was a nurse. They got married and after some time, Megan and Lindsey were born. His girls were everything to him. He re-enlisted into the Army in the 90's and served a remarkable 24 years, retiring on time in 2015 even after surviving a brain aneurysm. He would never take No for an answer and pulled through like a champ!
After retirement, he spent almost 7 years playing Baseball with his friends on a city team. He took pride in this sport so much that it was hard to retire from it, but he would forever watch baseball on TV and root for the Houston Astros.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Juliet Davis; his parents; and his beloved cat, Kiki. Tony is survived by his daughters, Megan Davis and husband Chris Edmond and Lindsey Davis; sister, Julia Dungan and husband Jim; nephew, O’Neal Dungan; fur baby, Snowflake; as well as a lifetime of friends from his military service, his love of baseball, and beyond.
