Fred “PoPo” Gutierrez, born August 5, 1933 in San Antonio, Texas passed away on December 2, 2021 at the age of 88. He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Stella “Honey” Gutierrez; his brothers Rudy Gutierrez, and Willie Gutierrez. He is survived by his children, Cindy Hatt (David), Sonya Chapa (Roland), Bonnie Martinez (Rene); his brothers, Bennie Gutierrez and Mike Gutierrez; grandchildren, Hillary Jankoski (Randy), Jake Hatt, Claudia Chapa, Daniel Chapa (Candis), Dr. Marissa Martinez, Katie Martinez; and great-grandchildren, Jacob Hatt, Chase Jankoski, and Hunter Jankoski.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 27th from 6-8 pm with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. The Funeral Service to be held on Tuesday December 28th at 12:30 pm at St. Pius X Catholic Church; 3907 Harry Wurzbach Rd.; San Antonio, TX 78209. The Burial will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery; 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd.; San Antonio, TX 78209 at 2:00 pm.
