Freda Irene Hickerson Hill-Terry

Mrs. Freda Irene Hickerson Hill-Terry was born June 10, 1963 in Jeffersonville, Indiana, to the union of Marcelene and Richard M. Hickerson, who both preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her sister Marlene Wilson, her grandparents, Flora and Homer Starks, and Irene and James Hickerson, Sr. She was a born leader, outgoing and a dare-devil. She attended Springhill Elementary and Jeffersonville High School. Freda loved music. She played the cello and sang in the Louisville Choral Union. In 1996, she married the love of her life, Gary Lamont Terry. Freda received a Bachelors Degree in accounting from Park University, Parkville, Missouri and she gave 25 stellar years in Civil Service as an accountant for the Veteran's Administration. Freda was saved and trusted in her God. She was a member of Resurrection Baptist Church, Pastor Ray D. Brown for a while and in January of 2011, she joined New Creation Christian Fellowship, under the leadership of Bishop David M. Copeland and Pastor Claudette A. Copeland. She was a member of the Susan B. Komen Foundation. Her hobbies were delegating, shopping, going to church and making sure her kitchen counters were cleaned.

Freda was a mother, a sister, and a friend to everyone. There's not a person in the world who has experienced a "Freda" interaction, that is unable to pinpoint a moment or story about how she inspired them. She loved her family and was the glue, rock and foundation that held everyone together. Freda will be greatly missed and forever remembered by her devoted husband, Gary Lamont, her children Na'Resha Nachelle Hill-Moon (Jeremy Moon), Garry Tyrone Hill, and Lexi Raquel Terry; grandchildren, Nicole L. Hill, Nicholas L. Hill, Cameron J. Moon and Na'Riyah I. Booker; sisters, Terry Starks-Hawthorne, Araminta Gayos, Stephanie Hickerson-Harris (Juan), and Dorothy Hickerson; brothers Wilbert Starks, Edward Hickerson, Mark Hickerson (Helen), Duan Hickerson (Brenda), Richard M. Hickerson, Sr., Kenny Hickerson, and Michael Hickerson; along with a host of relatives and friends.
