

Frederick Anthony Turner, “Rick”, a man who loved his wife completely and passionately, whose three sons, Shane, Josh and Anthony would always make him beam with pride, whose laugh will forever echo in the heart of his family and friends, entered eternal rest on Monday, August 2, 2021 at the age 62. He passed away peacefully at home in San Antonio, Texas. Rick was born on May 6, 1959 in San Antonio, Texas to Fred A. Turner and Helen Turner. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Jill Turner, and granddaughter, Lilith Turner.
Survivors include his loving wife, Debbi Turner and their children: Shane Petty (Vanessa), Joshua Petty (Danielle), Frederick Anthony Turner, Jr. (Kim); his five grandchildren: Aedan Petty, Zachary Petty, Kyra Petty, Holden Turner and Hyatt Petty; his brothers, Richard Turner (Holly) and Thomas O’Neil Turner (Melissa); his sisters, Milissa Goodgion (Michael) and Melanie Reitmeyer (Norman); nieces and nephews, Jill Simpson, Justin Reitmeyer, Norman Reitmeyer, Rex Reitmeyer, Hillary Goodgion, Benjamin Goodgion, Jack Goodgion, Madison Goodgion, Samuel Turner, Joseph Turner, Dylan Turner, Luke Turner and Prezley Turner; his beloved Aunt, Billie Turner; and his cousins, Tom “T.J.” Turner (Christine), Gary Turner (Celeste), and Jon Turner (Shannon).
As a young boy, Rick attended Alamo Heights. In 1978, Rick graduated from San Marcos Baptist Academy and immediately went to work at his grandfather’s business, Sigmor Gasoline Company, today know as TETCO, Inc. At his death, Rick was Vice President and Treasurer of TETCO.
Rick was a remarkable man known best for his quirky sense of humor and endless amount of knowledge. Rick’s hobbies included reading, growing vegetables, being a home beer brewer, traveling especially his Texas road trips with friends, a collector of obscure weaponry, riding his Harley Davidson, playing musical instruments of all kinds, and enjoying live music shows. He was kind, intelligent, gentle, strong, genuinely loved people, and without a doubt remembered and shared at opportune times your most embarrassing moments. His most favorite times were spent with his family at his cherished lake house. He was most recently very excited about the sixth grandchild on the way.
Through the years, he helped numerous individuals, organizations and charities, quietly and without elaboration. He will be deeply missed.
Visitation will be held at Porter Loring Mortuary, 1100 McCullough Ave, San Antonio, Texas 78212 on Saturday, August 7, 2021, between 4:00 – 4:30 PM, the memorial service will start immediately after at 4:30 PM. A get together for friends and family to follow at The Club at Sonterra, 901 E Sonterra Blvd, San Antonio, Texas 78258.
