She is preceded in death by her dearly loved husband, Eusebio G. Arocha, her mother and father, Estefana and Cristobal Torres, her sisters, Maria de Socorro Ramon and Maria de Paz Bosquez, and her brother Guadalupe Torres. She is survived by her daughter, Theresa Arocha-Gill, Ph.D, son-in- law, Louis C. Gill, her son, Robert T. Arocha, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Gabina was a graduate of Sidney Lanier High School. She was a homemaker who loved to sew and garden. Gabina taught Catechism classes for 25 years at St. John Berchmans Catholic Church and St. Stephens Catholic Church. Both Eusebio and Gabina were active members of the Cursillo movement. As a young woman, she was a member of Guadalupana Society at St. Timothy Catholic Church.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 9:30 p.m. Thursday, September 8, 2022 at Funeraria Del Angel Treviño Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Road, with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. A funeral procession will depart from the funeral home on Friday, September 9, 2022 at 9:45 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of The Resurrection at St. John Berchmans Catholic Church. Interment will follow in San Fernando Cemetery No. 2.
