Gabriel M. Pulido, Sr. went to be with the Lord on November 2, 2012 at the age of 86. He is preceded in death by his parents, Pilo R. and Engracia Saldaña; wife, Carlotta Pulido; daughters Manuelita Prieto and Sylvia Pulido. Mr. Pulido is survived by his son Gabriel Pulido, Jr. (Janie); son-in-law, Placido Prieto Sr.; grandchildren, Gabriel Pulido III, Sylvia Morales (Tim), Richard Pulido, Margaret Ytuarte (Elenor), Blanca Ahuyon (Silvester), Connie Prieto, Caroline Prieto, Cathy Prieto and Placido Prieto, Jr.; 13 great grandchildren and one great- great grandson. He served honorably as PFC in the U.S. Marines Corps in World War II and Iwo Jima. Mr. Pulido dedicated 35 years to civil service at Kelly Air Force Base. He also served his community as a member of COPS and Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Visitation will begin 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, November 8, 2012 at the funeral home. A procession will depart the funeral home 9:30 a.m. Friday, November 9, 2012 for a 10:00 a.m. mass at Our Lady of Guadalupe. Interment to follow in San Fernando No.2 Cemetery.
