Garry was born in San Antonio to Charles and Betty Ely March 30, 1956. He graduated from Robert E. Lee High School, Class of 1974. Garry went on to pursue a career in construction. He founded several companies including Concept Painting Inc. & Construction Concepts. He was highly respected in the community as a man of integrity.
Garry married the love of his life, Deborah Rodriguez in 2017 after 15 years together.
Garry is preceded in death by his parents, Charles & Betty Ely, and his brothers, Paul Ely, Don Ely and Bill Ely.
Garry is survived by his wife Deborah Rodriguez-Ely, daughters Kelsey Ely & McKenzie Ely, brother Charles & Judy Ely & sister-in-law Kay Ely, and his first wife, Laura Ely, in addition to numerous nieces and nephews – both Ely and Rodriguez.
He is also survived by so many, lifetime, friends.
