Gary's greatest joy in life was his family, who he cherished deeply. He was also a devoted pet lover, especially fond of his loyal dogs, Shakespear and Bentley, two basset hounds who were his pride and joy. Gary was always the one who would bring home the next puppy as a surprise for his wife.. Country music was another of Gary's passions, and he found great comfort and happiness in the old songs and would listen for hours.
He was very proud of his time at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio where he earned his BS degree. He also enjoyed playing baseball and played first base for Wright State. He loved his country and was blessed to serve for the US Air Force National Guard. He was promoted to the rank of Staff sergeant before the end of his service.
Gary spent many years working in sales for major corporations, where his dedication, hard work, and warm personality made a lasting impression on everyone he met. He was eventually transferred to Texas where he immediately purchased a cowboy hat, boots, learned two step, and embraced country music at its core. His colleagues and clients will remember him as a man of integrity and kindness. Gary and Nancy were blessed to travel across the globe and have many life experiences together and great memories with great friends.
He was preceded in death by parents, Charoline and Ivan Ferree; Uncle Max Luce; Aunt June Beasley and husband, Vic.
