Gary Lee Halcomb Sr.

Gary Lee Halcomb, Sr., age 74, passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2022, surrounded by his family at his home in San Antonio. He was born on October 19, 1947, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to parents, Bobby Lee and Hazel Louise Foutz Halcomb. Gary graduated from New Meadows High School in New Meadows, Idaho. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1968 as a Personnelman. He was stationed in Vietnam aboard the U.S.S. Long Beach and he retired as a Chief Personnelman in 1991 on the U.S.S. Patterson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and son, Steven Halcomb.

Gary is survived by his wife of 41 years, Antonia Halcomb; son, Michael A. Halcomb; son, Gary L. Halcomb, Jr. and his wife Keyona; son, Jonathan R. Halcomb and his wife Gennifer; and daughter, Mary E. Reddic and her husband John; grandchildren, Gary Halcomb, III, Michael Halcomb, Jr., Sebastian Anderson, Isaac Halcomb, Sofia Halcomb, Trystan Halcomb, Aria Reddic, Kamren Halcomb, and Olivia Reddic; brother, John Halcomb and his wife Peggy; sister, Kathyrn Arning and her husband Al.

Rev. Boots Levine will officiate. Interment with Full Military Honors will follow in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael A. Halcomb, Gary L. Halcomb, Jr., Jonathan R. Halcomb, Gary L. Halcomb, III, Michael A. Halcomb, Jr., and John Q. Reddic, Jr..
