Gayle Frances Pearson

Gayle was born December 10, 1942 to Richard T. Baird and Frances Dolejsi Baird in San Antonio, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Gary R. Baird.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, David O. Pearson Sr., son David Pearson Jr. (Kathy) of La Vernia, Texas, and grandchildren Joshua, Zachary and Micayla; son Dean Pearson (Natalie) of San Antonio, Texas, and grandchildren Jake, Brandon, Justin, Oliver, and Gemma; son Dale Pearson (Katherine) of Bulverde, Texas, and grandchildren Garret and Katelyn, brother Grady T. Baird, several nephews and a niece.

Gayle attended St. Cecilia's grade school graduating from St. Gerard's High School in 1961. She was a long time parishioner of Holy Name Catholic Church.

Gayle enjoyed being a den mother for her sons' Boy Scout troops and active with the PTA during their grade school years. Gayle ran the writing lab at East Central High School until retiring in 1999.

Traveling and camping with David and family and friends brought her much enjoyment. Their adventures took them from the Texas coast, to the scenic remotes of West Texas, New Mexico and Colorado. Cruises through the Bahamas, Caribbean and Panama, along with the beauty of the Inland Passage to Alaska were some of their most memorable quests. A four month road tour of Canada and Alaska in 1999 was a special highlight.

Gayle loved to attend all her grandchildren's school activities and was eager to share with all of her friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 pm at Porter Loring.
