Gene Ann worked for many years at the Defense Health Agency as an IT Specialist at Fort Sam Houston. She loved helping those who supported our veterans and service members of the Military.
Gene Ann was a woman of many passions and talents. Her nimble fingers brought to life intricate patterns and vibrant fabrics through her love for knitting and sewing. Each stitch was a testament to her meticulous craftsmanship and boundless creativity. Whether it was crafting cozy blankets for her loved ones or fashioning elegant garments, her skillful hands poured love and dedication into every piece she created, Gene Ann even made her own wedding gown.
She had an unwavering love for movies and music, finding inspiration and comfort in the stories they told and the melodies they carried. Her eyes would light up with delight as she shared her favorite films and songs with those around her, infusing every moment with her infectious enthusiasm.
One of Gene Ann's greatest sources of joy was her beloved corgis, Cori and Peni. They were more than just pets; they were cherished members of the family, providing endless companionship and laughter with their playful antics and unwavering loyalty. The bond she shared with her furry friends was a testament to her nurturing spirit and capacity for unconditional love.
In addition to her love for her furry companions, Gene Ann found immense joy in watching the hummingbirds that graced Gene Ann’s and Scott’s property in Mountain Home, TX. with their vibrant presence. She marveled at their delicate beauty and graceful movements, finding solace and wonder in the simple act of observing nature's wonders.
She was preceded in death by her great grandmother “Little Granny”; grandmother, Nell Walk; and stepfather, Tom Walk. Gene Ann is survived by husband, Scott Dixon; stepdaughter, Aubri Dixon; stepson, Justin Dixon; grandchildren, Helena Dixon, Sofia Dixon, Sevin Santana, and Bianca Santana; parents, Ann Walk and Gene Perrier and wife Beverly; sister, Genelle Woodard and husband, Tim; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
