George Kilbey Blanchard, Jr. died in San Antonio, Texas with his beloved wife, Patricia, by his side. The interment of his ashes will be at Arlington National Cemetery.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth McCoy (Betty) Blanchard and his father, George Kilbey (Buzz) Blanchard.

George is survived by his wife, Patricia Griffin Blanchard; his brother, Charles Hadley (Charlie) Blanchard and his wife, Joyce Boronio; and his sister, Elizabeth Blanchard (Betsy) Grenzebach.

George also leaves two daughters, Carolyn Grace Blanchard and Sarah Jane Blanchard from his first marriage; a step-son, Gilberto Camacho Garza III and his wife, Kathryn Prock Garza; and a step-daughter, Meredith Patrice Garza, and her husband, Micah Maxwell Pugh, from Patricias first marriage.

George enjoyed The Grands and The Greats - as he called them - from his wifes children. His step-son has four children: Josemara Gilberto Garza IV; Olivia Mariel Garza; Juan Pedro Garza and Ophelia Grace Prock. His step-daughter has one son: Dustin Cody Bruce who is the father of Alexander Maxwell Bruce and Sassy May Bruce.
