George was a graduate of Howard Payne College and Trinity University. He moved to San Antonio in 1964. He had a passion for sports, especially football. He worked in the Hardandale FSP for 32 years as a teacher, and eventually principal of Rayburn Elementary.
He was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Ford, his mother, Lillian Ford, and loving wife JoAnna Ford. He is survived by his son, Carl Ford, of Brownwood, TX.
A graveside service for George will be held Tuesday, December 26, 2023 from 10:15 AM to 10:45 AM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209.
