He was preceded in death by his infant son, G.H. Wells; and his brother, Jack.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jeanette Wells; children, Jon and wife, Leslie, George, Jr., Suzie and husband, Greg Westall; Lizzy and husband, Jim Waggoner; grandchildren, Sean and Shara Wells; April and husband, Ryan Spoor; Brandon Fraser; Desiree, Chelsea, Greg, Jr., Ethan, Frost, Hayden, Izabelle and Jordan Westall; and Austin Waggoner; brother, Raymond and wife, Joyce; sisters, June Wells and Peggy Ervin; sister-in-law, Marilyn Wells; numerous nieces and nephews.
