Gerald P. Forbrich

Gerald was in born in San Antonio, Texas to Robert Gardner Forbrich and Helen Veronika Forbrich on December 17, 1944. He graduated from Sam Houston High School in San Antonio, Texas. He married Patricia Mallard on June 13, 1970 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in San Antonio, Texas.

He served in the Texas Air National Guard for six years. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 60 for 60 years. He retired as an electrician from Six Flags Fiesta Texas after 17 years.

Gerald is preceded in death by his father, Robert Forbrich, his mother, Helen Forbrich, his brother, Nelson Forbrich and his sister, LaVerne Forbrich.

Gerald is survived by his wife of 55 years, Patricia Forbrich; daughter, Katherine Matta, and husband Daniel; sons James Forbrich and Robert Forbrich; and grandsons Brandyn Matta and Simon Matta.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 9:00 AM Wednesday July 30, 2025 at Sunset Funeral Home in San Antonio, Texas.

His family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to Trinity Hospice for three years of loving care.

Gerald was a devout Christian by action and deed. He cherished his wife of 55 years, Patricia (his sugar). His pride for his children and grandchildren is immeasurable.
