Geraldine Marie Wilkins Bessler, (Gerry) left this world for her heavenly home January 22, 2018. She was born in Detroit Mi. June 25, 1925. She is preceded in death by her parents Maybelle and Earl Wilkins, brother, Robert and her husband Robert Dale Bessler. Gerry was a devoted wife to her husband of 45 years and mother to her 5 children. She loved to laugh and people loved her positive attitude and sunny disposition. She enjoyed giving her time helping at her church, Bethany Congregational, and working at the San Antonio Refugee Center. Gerry is survived by her children, David (Helen) Bessler, James Bessler, Karen (Joe) Faunce, Thomas Bessler (Wendy), Patricia Bessler (James), seven grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, her niece Colleen Wilkins (Bob) Fey, nephew Ward (Kathy) Wilkins and numerous nieces and nephews in the Bessler family. A celebration of life memorial will be held at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home on Bandera Road on February 17th at 2pm
