Geraldine Jeannette Lightner Smith Douglas

Gerry was preceded in death by Willie H. Smith, father of Jerrie and Deann; her sister, Lavetta Cope, her parents and her dogs, Toby and Winston.

She is survived by her husband, Joe David Douglas; her son, Rodney Kemper Enlow and his wife, Jan; daughters, Jerrie Smith Jackson and husband, Tom; Deann Smith El-Kasih and husband, Carlos; her sisters, Darlene May Ripper and Betty Jane Bowman and their families: brother-in-law, Alvin A. Douglas, and niece, Rosanne and Ron Palmer; nephews, Ron, Jimmy, and Dwayne and their families; cousins, Roger David and Lizette Lew, Eric Lew, Lynette Lew Rodriguez and Hugo and sons; her close friends, Marcella Trotter, Evelyn Lachele, Dorthea Helmke, Ruby Brown, Kay Carter, Susan and Henry Holloway and many other close friends through the Super Adults at Laurel Heights and her neighbors, Hercilia Breton, Rose Kappmeyer, and Linda Hailey; her grandchildren, Lisa and her husband, John Hayden and Lauren Enlow, Ashley, Alley and Bailey El-Kasih and Maggie Jackson; great-grandchildren, Emily and Amanda Monsen and Kailey Hayden. The family thanks Doctor Isaeff and his staff and the staff at Chandler Nursing Home for their excellent care.

An internment of ashes will occur at the Douglas Family Plot at San Fernando Cemetery Number II, Castroville Road, San Antonio, Texas following the service.
