

Gerardo Javier Jaime, affectionately known as JJ, age 49, entered his eternal rest on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, in Schertz, Texas. He was born on August 15, 1974, to parents Maria Leza and Enrique Jaime in Laredo, Texas.
Gerardo enlisted in The United States Air Force in 1992 where he had an exceptional career providing meteorological services both overseas and stateside. Serving under and Providing Mass weather briefings to respected squadrons such as 3rd Weather squadron supporting 1st cavalry aviation brigade rapid deployment combat weather team and the 25th Fighter Squadron (A-10). He provided Base weather functions and weather Liaison for F-15 fighter squadrons. He was handpicked to brief USAF Chief of Staff and POTUS Secret Service advance party for President Bush's Visit to Tyndall AFB (2001). Highlighting his career, his final 10 years of service was working jointly with the Army as the Senior Noncommissioned Officer in charge. His Bilingual expertise helped build partnerships across Central and South American military forces. He was directly involved in “Operations Willing Spirit” and the rescue and recovery mission of three American hostages while also conducting and arranging weather to support command -directed exercises, Counter drug and Humanitarian relief. After 22 years in the armed forces, Gerardo continued to serve those he loved as a successful youth baseball and football coach, volunteering diligently with the Red Cross. Serving as a leader faithfully in his church “Generations Family Church”, Under God, Gerardo's biggest achievement was being a family man Loving his wife, children and grandchildren.
A dedicated disabled Veteran, Gerardo was preceded in death by his father Enrique Jaime and sister Claudia Jaime. He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years JoAnn Jaime; children Humberto Hernandez (Bianca), Rolando Javier Jaime (Lizsandra), Enrique Lomelli Jaime and Gerardo Javier Jaime II; 7 grandkids Audrey, Avery, Rolando, Amaya, Eva, Roel and Emma; and Mother Maria Leza.
