

Glen M. Harper, 88, of San Antonio, Texas passed away in his sleep on December 30, 2025. He was born in Beaumont, TX. To Helen and Paul Harper. Glen had a long career in Drafting and design for different aspects of the oil industry in Houston, Texas. Throughout that time, he traveled with family around the U.S., sang with the church choir, tended amazing yards and gardens and worked with Habitat for Humanity. He instilled true love of Nature in his daughters and everybody he met, including Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts.
Glen is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Barbara. Daughters: Kim (Bill) Herben and Shanna Kreher. Grandchildren: Doug (Caitlin) Herben, Steve Kreher, Laura Kreher, Thomas Herben and Amanda (Nick) Gula.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Helen and Thomas Paul Harper and his sister, Carleen Pope.
Glen was an avid reader and crossword puzzler. He enjoyed Bridge and Poker playing and he was the master of Dad jokes because he loved to laugh. He would pull the car over for river crossings and Mountain vistas.
Visitation to be held 5-7 p.m. on January 20, 2026, at Porter Loring North Funeral home, 2102 North loop 1604 East, San Antonio, Tx, 78232, with a rosary beginning at 7pm.
Funeral Mass 10:30 a.m. on January 21, 2026, at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church, 1602 Thousand Oaks Dr., San Antonio, Tx 78232.
Interment at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, 17501 Nacogdoches Rd., San Antonio, Tx 78266.
