Please accept my deepest condolences. I first met Gloria Felan in the summer of 1971 when the Bilingual Education Office was located at Kindred Elementary School and across Mr. Albert Casillas' office. In between the two offices were the desks belonging to Gloria, who was the school secretary, and the desks belonging to our department's secretaries--Amparo Ortiz and Dolores Snchez. Dr. Flix D. Almaraz Jr. was the director of the Bilingual Education Program, Dr. Leonard Retiz was the internal evaluator, and I was the curriculum writer. Gloria and I worked together at South San for many years. Needless to say, I have many fond memories of our days at South San. My thoughts and prayers are with you in this time of sorrow.
