

The family moved to Bergenfield, NJ where she graduated from Tenafly High School, in Tenafly, New Jersey. She was a graduate from St. Mary's College Notre Dame in 1948 and was awarded Bachelor of Science Degree in Dietetics and Chemistry. She was awarded a Master's Degree in Business Administration and Management from Webster, University in Missouri in 1978.
Upon graduation from St. Mary's, she worked as a Dietitian at St. Joseph's Hospital in South Bend, IN and then for 13 years at Mt. Carmel Hospital in Columbus, OH.
In 1961, Lt. Col Kyne entered the U.S. Air Force and was commissioned as a Captain. She retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in 1981. Lt. Col. Kyne served at Elmendorf AFB in Anchorage, AK, Maxwell AFB in Montgomery, AL, March AFB SAC in Riverside, CA, Lackland AFB, Randolph AFB both in San Antonio, TX and Scott AFB in Belleville, IL. She served in many capacities including Staff Dietitian, Head of Dietetic Services and Inspecting Dietetic Services.
She was a member of the Military's Officers Association including the Solitaires, the American Dietetic Association, Volunteer Citizens' Patrol for Windcrest. She was an avid golfer and a member of the Windcrest Women's Golf Club.
She was also preceded in death by her two sisters, Geraldine Grady of New Milford, NJ and Penelope Martin of Santa Ana, CA.
She is survived by her sister, Eleanor Meltzer of Pinellas Park, FL; her brother, Harold Kyne and wife, Helen of Sun City Center, FL; 14 nieces and nephews; and many great and great great nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Harold Kyne, Joshua Martin, Michael Gerhards, David Gerhards, Justin Isberg, Brad Hoferkamp, Jim Moore and Jerry Martin.
